How does this service differ from Peerplays?
It focuses on sportsbetting.
Wagerr is designed specifically for sportsbetting, which makes it extremely scalable.
Wagerr uses Oracle Masternodes to gather real world game data inputs and achieve consensus on their outcomes. They also exclusively create all betting contracts, forming a strong second tier network.
Wagerr's economy is deflationary, the more it grows, the more valuable it becomes.
So are any of the top betting sites been solicited or are in negotiations to use your service? Or is this all P2P?
r is a completely decentralized system. We do not believe that BaaS (blockchain as a service) is viable here, given the disruptive potential and all the hurdles to operating such a centralized platform.
The goal is to start with peer to peer matching, but in the end most bets will likely be backed by the chain directly (just as large sportsbooks are backed directly by the corporation managing the bets).
After the delivery of this system, Wagerr developers recognize the importance of partnering with an MSB, or launching a new one (something like kraken, for instance), to facilitate the interchange of currencies from fiat to digital currencies and back. This service will make it easy for people, including those new to digital currency, to adopt Wagerr as their primary platform for placing bets.
Note that Wagerr Ltd. will not have a monopoly on this type of service; any of the others major providers will be able to do this as well. However, the Wagerr team wants to ensure that such a service is smoothly integrated into the system.
As for other companies using the Wagerr sport betting blockchain as a service, we are confident that a significant portion of bet volume will be generated from other Sportbooks balancing their books through arbitrage betting.
