Gambling is natural. People do it all the time and we don't even realize it. Ask kids we play with other kids and we often tell each other "I bet you are not good at basketball" or something in those lines. We actually use the words unknowingly connoting gambling, so I am not surprised about this.
Exactly. Give 5 yo kid a candy he will take it. They are probably around 10 years old.

Nothing has changed IMHO.
Yes, many people who have gambled under the age of 18. I also ever, around age 12 years, the prize isn't money but a car remote control. A game is lottery, and i won it.
