There's an ass tone of hormones and hormone secretion inducing chemicals in the water kids drink nowadays. You can see 12 year old girls who look like grown women and almost as often 16 year old boys who look like pre-teens. There was a movie on this as far as I remember, I think it was called "The disappearing man" or something.
I remember reading somewhere where they blame it on the increased consumption of fats and sugars.

Evolution exists and we can see it even in our lifetime. Look at the people in the 50s of the last century and present-day people. Now the youth grows and they are much higher. Children start to sit and walk faster. All this is an example of evolution on a short stage.
