The major drawback for RCB team was that Kohli and AB missed first few games and even Gayle was not in the form and they also missed the Rahul in their team who has been doing so well for them as a opener so RCB never had a good opening pair in this season which took them on back foot since the beginning of the tournament.
I think injury was the main problem and ABD is coming back after a long break from injury and Kohli was injured too,Gayle was not that consistent and they really could not perform well as a team and this was the worst year for them as they lost most of the matches.It will be a good humiliating experience for Kohli and i am sure he will learn from these experiences and lead team India to more victories.RCB was really unfortunate this time in IPL but can't really point out at players like Virat, Gayle, ABD as the other players too failed to perform along with the poor bowling team. Whatever they did went against them and they scored the least in 2-3 matches while couldn't defend their runs when they had a good score as well. They won their first matches and then kept losing since then (which is before Virat joined the team).
MI on the other hand looked good overall but they proved to be the best team on paper as well as performance wise. They lost only 4 matches which is itself an achievement and still they never became over confident and won their games till the end.
Yeah MI have shown consistent performance throughout the season and that makes them favorite to grab this year's IPL title and it will be very interesting to see that who wins in tomorrow's game as the winner will directly go to the finals and I have a feeling that RPS will win tomorrow.
Hope RPS makes it to finals and SRH v MI maybe expected in second eliminator ( If RPS manage to win).
