Personally, I always to the 6 character check:
I check the first and last three characters of the address before sending.
I guess, technically it could still eff-up but it eliminates a lot of the risk.

Just one more question. if i try to send the bitcoin, and i typ in an invalid number. ll the system tell me that s invalid? or i just loose the bitcoin?
