Have been into this debate way before, but didn't get it considered yet by the management. I have been trying my best to take this to them and draw their attention towards this that the price of ETH has gone way above and losing such an amount would be harsh on our side, so they should really change the minimum to something which could be an affordable loss if lost so. So that we could gain more users for the site.
I can't find the reason for them to not consider changing this limits, have they replied anywhere about this in this thread or anywhere. I think they are not changing this because this is embedded in their smart contracts and to make any small changes like this they might have to re-code all their smart contracts. Correct me if i am wrong...

The min. bet parameter needs to come down.
The dramatic ETH price rise has ramification for a number of factors, not just vDice, but gas on the network etc, etc.
...Right now the focus is getting the next (new) game out the door. Then we can switch back to the dice game upgrades.
