Actually, Banks in Japan have begun accepting money in exchange for Bitcoin - as a way of regulating the money that goes into it (i.e to prevent drug money). This is actually one of the reasons for the recent price spikes. Unfortunately however... this takes away the anonymous aspect of Bitcoin that we all love. Ups and downs to everything I suppose .
