I was just wondering to myself, do you guys believe that online casinos are totally legit, or do you also believe that some of them are rigging outcomes.
One of the reason I prefer to bet on sports and not on dice games or at online casinos is that I can't actually know if the casino is paying me as they should, or they tell me that I lost while I was supposed to be a winner.

Does the small house edge(compared to sports betting) worth the chance of the casino rigging the outcomes, making you lose sometimes while you were supposed to be the winner?

If you prefer to do sports betting because you are into sports that's understandable. But if you do it just because you think there are no legit online casinos you are wrong. There are many of them where bets are provably fair and usually they earn from the house edge, not from cheating their customers.

You are right,there are casinos that can prove their fairness with multiple ways. For example: Betvoyager. You can check result of every game session with fairness control. If you think you are cheated then go to check numbers and compare results with real numbers. If you are not still get convinced ,you can check that complex code of fairness control on different sum hash sites. True. I for one don't have a habit to check the fairness of games on a site which was confirmed by many to be legit. You only should do it with new unknown sites imo.

That's probably one of the things why people get scammed (if the site is new). When someone has discovered some new website or something that is regularly increasing the number of visits, then probably they are going to see if they can scam using the websites name. You would never understand how people would see it because they know the name of the site is legal, it still depends on your perspective if you think there is something sketchy about the site.
