Yes exactly. It is s form of payment so it really doesn't matter. I think the OP is missing the point s little bit. I mean why would we need to buy and sell BTC when we using the bitcoin itself to buy and sell items ?
Last time I bought some BTC was when it was worth $400 or so. Haven't bought more since but keep earning it through affiliate programs (casinos and such). Awesome times 
Wow that is a very cheap price and your investment is already around x5 profit and that is very huge gains for a bitcoin investor like you. You should hold your bitcoins for long term because in the next few years bitcoin will be one of the popular currency and the price in that time will go up very fast. I still remember when it was $240 and had just crashed. I wished I had more money at that stage of life.
