Using satoshi is a bit extreme... mBTC (or kbits) is just right for the time being. It will make newbies feel better to be able to own 1 or 10 units (mBTC) of bitcoin... With time of course I am sure "bits" will eventually be used for mainstream. I am not sure who start "bits" as a unit for 0.000001 BTC, but I like it a lot!
