What does Poloniex or Kraken require to have a coin listed?

Right now I can't find any value in coins listed on Poloniex but Gulden appears to be a good candidate to be added to both these exchanges. I also don't want to invest in this coin if they won't be added to these exchanges.

This project seems interesting to me and should to most traders.
