Ysell - Have you been invested in anoncoin for a long time and do you think it will survive? I have been with anoncoin from the early days and still believe in the coin but the support at the moment is weak.
There's so many if's and but's to this question. I have been interested in the coin since Zerocoin 2013ish. The tech is awsome. They've delivered on the i2p integration, now it's just a wait till the zerocoin integration; then, if this happens there will be no other coin that even comes close.
Monero and zcash, all have inferior tech (especially zcash dodgy multi party trusted coin - Not even the inventors would trust zcash - on Youtube saying this), but if Zcoin is never implemented, it's just a fantastic theory. I believe it will be implemented. The main developers have other projects, such as Meeh being the main developer for i2p.
The critical aspect of this, is; will the main developers continue to work on ANC? The problem is without development, or at least a visible presence on Twitter, Forum's etc, people think it's dead, yet there is development, although sporadic. The developers are so hot on working within the confines of a private internet i2p that they fail to realise that public insecure communication is the best way to garner new interest, new developers etc. It seems these guys are happy with an exclusive privacy network without communicating with others outside of it. it's a very interesting coin with awsome potential and a whisper of development. The development whisper does not fill me with optimism for it's future, yet I have a geeky enthusiasm for it's potential.
In the not so distant future, governments will try and prevent cryptocurrencies, thus there will inevitably be the need for a privacy based cryptocurrency. I see Anoncoin tech as being a safety net incase the worst does happen. This will see the rise of Anoncoin surpassing Bitcoin valuations, as people are criminalized for using Bitcoin. I'm personally a little unnerved about cryptocurrency, alot like how I was concerned that MP3 digital was surpassing CD's. At the same time I see Anoncoin or equivalent as being an inevitable highly used currency.
