Seems to me this fluctuation is fairly standard.  There are lots of reasons for it.

• pre-emptive "sell on news" action
• big shorts being opened and sold at the "top" before the announcement
• natural correction from a fiarly hot price rise

The money question is obviously where is it going next.  Well that depends somewhat on Spagni's announcement.  But the fact is XMR is still overdue for the participation it really deserves in the alt rally  as a legitimate, useful project with real world use.

Let's just hope we see some of that before alt bubbles pop as well as muted volatility in XMR when they do.
