I am legitimately geeked about this. Japanese society does not fuck around with automated vending technologies; not only can you get virtually anything from a vending machine in Japan (including some really questionable shit), the are ubiquitous and don't charge for the extra functionality they provide. If they enter the market, the fees will come down, and the bar for service/ features will raise. As a consumer, I definitely approve
