Did the judge even consider that the 10-year-old boy will be messed up in the head for life? Perhaps this boy will end up becoming a rapist or serial killer himself.
I don't know why the sentence was reduced since these Muslims are used to draconian punishments. I'm sure back home he would have been hung, if not by the courts then the people would do so. I say keep him locked up for life as a dangerous offender.
I very much doubt that. In Muslim nations, adult men frequently indulge in sex with young boys. This practise is exceptionally prevalent in the GCC, Maghreb, and countries such as Pakistan and Afghanistan. The clerics claim that having sex with boys does not violate the Shakira law, as the men without a beard are considered as female in Islam.
