Funny how you type a whole paragraph to avoid a simple answer. What is it? "Higher quality games"? So the original intent was shitty monthly games?
And yes, there needs to be math involved in such estimates but apparently there wasn't, which is one of the reasons for the never-ending stream of failures. You gotta be severely math-challenged if you can't figure out that a single part-time developer can't produce a game per month, or that 40 players can't generate enough revenue to sustain this thing.
