I treat people well because my mind is capable of anticipating how my action would affect them and feel how they will feel, because our brains have the capacity to allow us to "step into other people's shoes". Not because something commanded me to do so or because I'm expecting some reward from some invisible being who never made his existence obvious and who if it ever exists gives zero fucks on what the hell happen to humans.
