Thanks for your reply Dr Charles,
Firstly, this link i posted was for a transaction after I sent the original one to localbitcoins.... I'm assuming its been setup by them to return the bitcoin as it couldn't clear.
Yes it say's 5 days ago......but here is some of the script when I emailed them regarding why the transaction was taking so long.
The link I posted above is the only info that I can find in my multibit account regarding outgoing transfers.
I'm extremely puzzled by how all this works, but hopefully by setting my fee default to medium rather than low i won't encounter this situation again......
That's if I can ever get the bitcoin back!!
The below copied and pasted transcript was 14 days ago.... The link in my first message was 5 days ago... How can this be if I sent the bitcoin 3 weeks ago?
Hi,
I transferred Bitcoin to my wallet marked....

It's been more than four days and still hasn't cleared.... I'm new to this and may have not offered enough commission to the miners to process the transaction. How do I get the transaction cleared???
Thank you for your time
Simon
Hi!
I'm really sorry but your transaction was sent with a transaction fee that is too low. This means that your transaction will either not be confirmed OR that it will take a long time (possibly several days). After three days the transaction will be sent back to the sender and it can be sent again.
You can read this blogpost to learn more about transaction fees:

Hi,
I sent Bitcoin to this address on your website over a week ago and it still hasn't cleared or been sent back to the address I sent it from... Can you please tell me how I either get it cleared or how I get it off back to the original wallet so I can resend it through to my local Bitcoin wallet
