once quantum based or other high end computing is introduced they will be able to crack the private keys and take all funds.
if or when that happen, the whole world will be turned upside down, just like in Independence Day, when the motherships appeared all around the world. You could very well ask if the world is a massive train wreck
also Bitcoin and cryptography could just change the algorithms and remain safe
