Thanks for all the help. I've read all the links and while they are logical, my blockchain.info account does that show some of the options that would help to solve my issue. Anyone know the email address for blockchain.info support?

Just to revise: even though I created the address in blockchain.info, it's not showing up as neither my current active address nor archived address. That's why I imported it back into blockchain.info, but now it's asking for a private key that I do not have access to or cannot find. I'm pretty good with following instructions, but somehow something isn't adding up in this case.
