Regarding the problem with downloading receiver_xx files, guess that this is a great opportunity to reorganize. Those who want to help just bring in new mirrors, I can take care of maintaining the new receivers files so we start re-distributing Devcoin to the new team of contributors starting next block, along with building a new countdown.
That seems like a good idea. When I get some time I'll educate myself on exactly how the block rewards are distributed.

Of course funds are needed to maintain the network. So there's nothing wrong with exchanging the reward into LTC, BTC, or USD as long as the money is being put to good use. I'll try to learn more ASAP about how this was originally designed to work.
