Zen was far from free. It's priced into ZCL which is why the price got much lower after the fork. The difference between zcl pre dump, and zcl now is the price of zen, which is more than double the value of zcl now.
I'm not sure about Zen being double the price of ZCL .So far the 131 ZEN I have Estimated Value: 0.00000000 BTC on Bittrex and the 1200 ZCL I now have has an Estimated Value of 2.04927597 BTC
