So difficult to guess, I never would have thought 12 months ago that the proce would be $22xx today.
I will join in any way for a bit of fun & say $3250
Of course it is possible at the moment because the speculators are just throwing their money into it willing to make huge profit. But I wouldn't be surprised if the price would start going down significantly to like 1800 dollars till the end of the year, because the price is way too high for this time. Also there were no real reason why would the price go up, no technical improvement in the code, nothing.

Reason can be made easily it all depends if somebody with a full pocket decides to flip his btc to fiat... Maybe there aren't some major improvements on coding side, but I agree with you that price might drop if we look at UASF activation on August 1st. If 2 chains split price will drop drastically until it gets sorted out.

On the other hand Russia is looking into btc, Japan has legalized it, more people are searching about it and are intersted in (mostly because of the profit but still).

People though that 10$ was high at first then that 50$ was high, you never know as all we can do is to  speculate the price...
