The cause of the loss is a 51% attack on the chain causing a fork, the attacker manage to fork the coin long enough to deposit millions of coins, wait for them to confirm, sell the coins, those deposits are now invalid in the wallet hence the balance dropping dramatically once the wallet was resynced.  We are trying one last attempt of rebuilding the wallet using the private keys in an attempt to revolver more coins.  This may take some time so you just have to be patient,     Thanks Cryptopia Support
