On a sidenote, I've got my two 7-GPU rigs (RX 570's) hashing away and they're only sucking a combined 2200W at the wall. Quite amazing considering my 6x R9-280X rig used to draw almost the same amount of power on its own back in 2014...

That's horrible. I have 2x RX 470, 1x RX 480 cards and 1x R9 380 (need update but there are no AMD cards...) with 560W at wall. Also I mine XMR with STAK, but when I use Claymore I have 100W more from wall with about same hashes You say the Asus Z270-A Prime can do 9 GPU's, however all the forum posts I've seen says 8 is the limit. Do you or anyone here can point me to a thread or post with someone who has got 9 GPU rig running with success?
