Well, Aeternity will use state channels, and that means that its smart contracts will be really-really fast and private because in usual case the blockchain will almost have nothing to do with the contract data. Thus the general blockchain will be used as a decentralized cryptocourt as contracts' hashes will be stored on the blockchain using Merkelized Abstract Syntax Trees. This means it will be easy to prove the contract is the correct one without knowing what's inside.
