Thanks I got one on the way and found some on ebay and ordered another so what ever one arrives last can be a spare.

Heat.
Ya that much was obvious lol that it got burned from heat. But it seems pretty weird for that to of gotten so hot to char the insulation and the plugs on both ends. all the other ones on all my other miners don't even seem to feel warm when I put my fingers on them. Tho one of the ones on the same miner that the burnt on was on has one more out of the 3 that feels a bit warm but not super hot. But still not ripping hot and just hot compared to the others. They are also in a pretty cool area and it was not above about 60F this morning.
thin wires and thin insulation = high risk of power leakage.
so current in one of the 18 wires bled into an adjacent wire not quite a dead short , but enough to over heat and melt out
you are not the first that this has happened to.
