Well, after a bit of a scare related to the well documented password-problem with MultiBit HD, I now have access to my wallet again (0.3.0 MultiBit HD, Linux). However, as I prepare to empty that wallet to avoid such a problem in the future, I noticed that the maximum fee that I can set in preferences is 50000sat/Kbyte. This doesn't seem like nearly enough with bitcoinfees.21.co currently recommending 450sat/byte in tx fees.
Am I doing the math on that right? If so, does anyone know of a way to pay more in fees using that MultiBit HD wallet? Going to another wallet isn't really an option as I don't have the seed for the one that is running now, and just need to get the BTC out of it and quit using it. The bitcoinfees.21.co chart indicates that transactions paying 50sat/byte may be confirmed in '45-1020 minutes'... I can deal with such a delay, but am concerned that it might never go thru.
Any advice or correction to my logic here would be greatly apppreciated.
