I don't understand how people thought arbitrage could occur
(for those who don't know, arbitrage is the price difference of the same asset between two sources...aka China could sell bitcoin for 3500 out of nowhere, and everyone could just buy for 2800 I'm US exchanges and sell to chinese...) when the logic the WHOLE time has been the ability to swap chain to chain.
It's not like an exchange where they all have their own mini-economies, this is based on smart contract escrow type system where one token locked in the contract releases one token from the other chain contract....iirc.
