Soon is not the right word, because although it can, it will take dozens, or even hundreds of years. If bitcoin can survive that long, maybe bitcoin will exceed the dollar, or even exceed it. But as you say, but not 100%

Yeah we dont know whether the bitcoin is going to survive that long or not. If we look at the history of the dollar it is surviving for centuries and is still a very much stable currency. I dont think the bitcoin can compete ever with the dollar. The bitcoin in this regard has a specific role to play.
