Kicking myself I didnt buy in when they were at $7 but there's a lot of that sentiment going around.
Don't do that, I'd be in bruises if I'd do the same - I regret selling at $1.60, though at the time it seemed like a good trade, having bought at around $0.40! Kicking yourself will not help!
Well, i hate reading this reminder to myself.
I sold half of my holdings last year at the breakout around $1+ which I bought at around $0.5+.
Now, this is the reason why I am holding tight the other half.

I doubt the price will rise too much if at all this year. I don't see much wrong with xmr, but it appears to be happy to be perceived as being used only in dark net markets. Nothing wrong with that, but there are many other coins competing in that space, monero needs to be seen as more than a payment system for DNM for the price to kick on.
