I learned about Silk Road early 2012, looked at Silk Road near the end of 2012, and THEN I learned about Bitcoins because of Silk Road.
I imagine it's very different for people in 2013 with all the media attention.

but dunno if its safe to say this in your thesis ...I mean personally I have a strong belief that 80% of non-miners heard about bitcoin and got into it more or less because of SR
