Bitcoin cannot make everyone happy, I heard long time: if you dont like high fees, just use altcoin. So now it is: if you dont like SegWit2x, just use altcoin. Bitcoin going to be ok without the few hundred or so people not willing to compromise, the other millions going to appreciate what SegWit2x deliver to Bitcoin.
