I assume that the 12 word passphrase that was generated on the ICO site (
https://ico.komodoplatform.com/) is the 'private key' referred to in 'import one private key' in the Komodo Swing Wallet (v. 0.7.8 ) drop down menu. Is that correct?

That is correct I did that and it worked. Create a transaction to yourself to claim the intrest

When you open your wallet, after 'Verifying proving key' and 'Loading block index', do you get an 'Activating best chain' process and, if so, about how long does it take to complete?
