Do you realise if everyone did as you suggested there would be no posts, which would kill activity. With more topics the forum lives on.

Agreed, an amazing reply! I have seen some other larger forums get to the point where every time someone posts a question, you get several replies saying use the search function. Some people (me being one of them occasionally) have already used the search function but are looking to get fresh replies based on things as they stand right now, not how they were a few weeks or months ago. I would guess this is especially true for something like bit coins where everything fluctuates so much.
