This is to let the Bitquence and crypto community know that Bitquence will not be offering our token for sale in the United States. The U.S. regulatory environment regarding token sales is still evolving, and we have made a business decision to avoid this market to keep things simpler.
This pre-sale enables the Bitquence community to pre-purchase application tokens for the Bitquence software much like pre-purchasing a software license. The Bitquence token will act as gas for the Bitquence platform, basically paying for storage and transaction fees. This is like an advanced software payment, like pre-paying for a year of Salesforce, except on a very thin-sliced basis.
Additionally, we will not be launching the Bitquence service in the U.S. until we are 100% certain that we can comply with all local applicable laws and regulations, so the tokens will not be usable for U.S. citizens until the software is available in the U.S., meaning reasonably compliant.
So if you are a U.S. Citizen well, sorry! But we just cant sell tokens to you at this time.
Steps we are taking to ensure we do not offer our tokens to U.S. Citizens:
We are taking steps to ensure any offering pages will not be available to any U.S. IP address. Please do not try and circumvent this in any way.
All Bitquence token participants must provide information that includes their country of residence. Anyone with a U.S. address will not be permitted to participate.
You must certify and represent to us during the purchase process itself that you are not a U.S. Citizen. If you do not represent during the process that you are a U.S. resident we will not accept the transaction.
If we discover that any token purchases have been made from a U.S. Citizen, we will consider the ERC20 smart contract null and void and use our best efforts to return the funds.
Please do not try and game the system or fraudulently and try to purchase Bitquence tokens if you are a U.S. Citizen you will just be causing problems for us, and maybe for yourself.
Will Bitquence ever be available in the United States?
We definitely hope so! We know there is tremendous interest and desire to purchase cryptocurrencies here. However, we will not be launching the Bitquence service in the U.S. until we are 100% certain that we can comply with all local applicable laws and regulations. This is beneficial to everyone since Bitquence is taking steps to minimize legal risk to the company. We will be developing the product with top-tier U.S. legal counsel to ensure that every aspect of the platform complies with all laws and regulations so that we can bring the ideal experience to you.
The U.S. has made some great strides towards clarifying their legal stance towards cryptocurrency services, and there are some interesting situations now with Coinbase and the U.S. Government among others. Once there is additional clarity, we plan to look at launching Bitquence in the U.S. Until that time, we will choose carefully which countries we will launch Bitquence in. Please keep this in mind when deciding if purchasing Bitquence tokens is right for you.
