To people thinking about taking him up on his offer; HitBTC prices are incredibly inflated because they control the supply. I wouldn't take the $1 as a guiding price.

It's not. I'm reading the thread all the time and I have no seen such statements. Where did you take it from?

It was stated in this thread but I cannot point you to the exact page since the number of comments has been rising quite fast. It was supposedly based on information from the slack channel. Don't take my word for it though as I'm not affiliated with SONM.
