I recommend you should use myetherwallet.com. It is a web wallet but its job is to generate your wallet and let you access the private key so that they do not have anything to deal with your privacy and your property. They can not steal your money Thx in advance!
trust me. If you want to trade (buy/sell) ethereum, I think coinbase is the best place for you to do that
