We dont need hoppers, but for sure we will try to add a retargeting system ASAP 
You can mine HEX with CPU or GPU atm. Algo = Scrypt
Or ASIC's with your own pool
but without a newer re-targeting method this coin will always get long hangs once big hashpower hops on and off.
