Why not, ethereum is new revolution in technology of blockchain, we can build projects on there be called dapps, that is more good than bitcoins blockchain, we can not build projects on bitcoins blockchain. Ethereum has smart contract be offered to the people than bitcoins blockchain, so there is chance ethereum defeat the bitcoins.
Could happen if the trading volume is higher than the bitcoin continuously. We know so many current projects that use the ethereum platform as their smart contract. Perhaps in the future the platform will be used by unlimited projects . This will be a new popularity from Ethereum .
