I thought they had someway to block high gas prices. The max gas price in the site was only a suggestion, then?

Sent it seconds after the block #3903900 was confirmed, I guess.
Sent it in two different nodes, also.
But it's still pending, and may not be confirmed on time.

About the transactions that went through with more than 50 Gwei gas price, I asked Sebastian (dev team) and he answered:

As far as I can see, only whitelisted addresses got through using high gas prices.
All the rest of us mortals are waiting for confirmations, the network is really congested.
All transactions that were confirmed were refused by the smart contract because of the gas price, none of the 50 Gwei ones fell through yet.
So maybe there's still time to try and invest.
I don't know, max you gonna lose is transaction tax (1 cent of ETH maximum)
