2nd,  not sure what your Problem is,  so i can just give
maybe useless and worthless Solutions.

- modify the makefile acording to your compile Environment.
- if you had 1.55 installed,  download and compile 1.58 and retry
- if you had 1.58 installed,  download and compile 1.55 and retry
- if there is some error about something similar like "aray,boost,..." let me know
- try one of my working repo`s and some older Version.

i work on Windows-based Systems.  and even my compile Environment
is crosscompiled with mingw. so i cant help you on specific question
acording to linx.
