It looks like both Innosilicon and Bitmain are doing pre-orders for miners in ~September.

Based upon the price difference, the L3+ is still the way to go if you're willing to wait 2-3 months.

The A4's are great but for only $600 less and basically half the speed, it's not worth it.

But isnt the A4 two units?  Each one being 280 MHS, so a total of 560 MHS for $1400, vs Antminer's 504 MHS for ~2100?

Each Cube is 135MH approximately.

1 Controller can support up to 3 cubes giving you roughly 400mh but you end up paying somewhere around $700-1000 per cube at the best possible price.

My L3's for example have already half paid for themselves -- my A4's that I've had much longer, have not half paid for themselves yet as my 3 cube setup cost me near $3500.
