I was always wondering how do people make this work? I've never managed to make a single referral link work, no one ever wanted to use my referrals and at the same time I see that some people create thousands of working referrals. Is there anyone here who earns a lot on referrals? Can you share your experience?
For example in the STATS section on freebitco.in we can see a person has 84,786 referrals and earned 24 BTC in commissions from that. How's that possible?
It's not easy job to get many referrals. People promoting reflinks on their websites. If your website is popular, you may get many referrals. Also, people spamming on various forums, social networks and etc. But I only have few hundreds referrals. But still you have hundreds of referrals, wow, man, good job! How much do you earn from them?

Thanks for your suggestions, but you know it's hard to do in reality. There are many sites like you described already and I doubt people will visit another similar site let alone they will use referral links from there. But maybe I'm just lazy, always making up excuses for not trying to do something, and someone who will use your advice will get tons of referrals.
Yea, most people are lazy, but doing this will create a passive income from this method. Why? Well you do the hard work in the beginning by
recruiting these referrals and then they use the faucet and generate the income for you. The problem is, faucets have a huge dropout rate, so
you will constantly have to recruit people to make sure you have "active" users coming in.
..... lift ya ass and start recruiting. 
When you need to put an effort constantly to get more referrals, then it is not called a passive income. Your earning because your putting effort and passive income mean one time you do the hard work and should get earnings for a long period without any further efforts. Since faucet money per claim has reduced a lot due to price rise, many people will not stick to these faucet sites and they will find better ways to earn money. So it is not worth to spend a time to get referrals for small profits.
