People will choose only what is closer to them in understanding and what is available. Bitcoin community is very small, so paypal has every chance of existence. 
That's how it is right now though the price of Bitcoin could grow much larger than it is right now and the people that notice the price rise will begin to talk about it to many more people. If Bitcoin gets as much users as PayPal then PayPal will crumble.
