I agree. They are always promising incoming alpha release for a long time. It is really hard to get any information about any progress. Btw giveaways are really badly organized. Anyway, I want to believe the project will be great. Maybe I am too optimistic. 
We have detailed the alpha release in our latest Medium blog post. As for the giveaways, everyone had received their guppies and everyone who participated seemed very satisfied! The shirts are being sorted out as to how the shipping will be arranged!
