Bitcoin will not really replace dollars or other fiats that easily, not just in 15 years but in 100 years. Bitcoin is a good currency for the people, but with it's current state now, I don't think it will be a primary currency of one country. And if bitcoin will be a primary currency, replacing fiats, do you think all the people can keep up with it? Not all people are that updated especially about technologies.
Absolutely it won't replace dollar in our system of currency because fiat currency is so stable and at this time most of the people and businesses relied with dollar. It's so hard to let digital currency be at the system that exists from many centuries, specially that technologies of bitcoin can be so hard to adopt to people who are not yet open to it, and they are mostly hesitant to know. So if there's a plan of the Government to implement dollar fiat currency be replaced, well they will finance most of the lower class people; they will be first to be affected with.
Fiat currency is so stable? Look at the currency exchange charts of last 15 years. how can you say that it is stable.
Once 1Euro was about 1 Dollar and another year it is 1,6 Dollars.
Chinese Yuan was week 1 year and we could order many products, another year was very expensive...
Australian Dollar was 50% more valuable and it was very expensive to import from there now it is cheaper..
Gold was 200$/ounce 15 years ago and 1800$/ounce in 2011
People could buy 10 breads with a dollar once and now just 1 bread...
Tell me please how it is stable?
i am selling and repairing cellphones. i know times that everyone was hesitating to buy a smartphone instead of an old nokia phone. But it didn't took 5 years even for 60 - 70 year olds to replace a it with a smartphone. once they didn't know what internet is and they were afraid of to open a browser from phone, now they are installing and using all kinds of application. people change.. faster than we anticipate..
