I don't know, but the reason for that is because the developer said he doesn't want to make the torrent functionality open source because of its value and being awesome and stuff.
That sounds dodgy to me. Look at all the [awesome] cryptos out there on the top 100 and ask yourself if they aren't open source.
Open source and transparency is critical in the decentralized web, especially when there's one developer working on a coin making it pretty centralized.
I think this community and all investors must push for transparency if this project is to be successful.
It has been addressed, a few months ago the devs (more than one) said that everything will be open sourced, at the right time.
Being in active development means that going open source before everything is ready is a risk that others will just copy everything and claiming it all as their ideas. There are a lot of features you will only find in vTorrent, things that others can't do, so it's worth preserving that for a short while.
But we all agree that open source is the best policy.
