People will choose only what is closer to them in understanding and what is available. Bitcoin community is very small, so paypal has every chance of existence. 
and i think bitcoin is available everywhere, as i have good example of it. in my country paypal service is not available and therefore bitcoin is more convenient for me to use for payment to online shopping. and therefore i think that for more people it will be convenient to use it.
