That was a most interesting piece, but perhaps a tad pessimistic.  Maybe not though, ITALIANS over here do not seem happy nor joyous.  We will be seeing more Europeans before long, I'll check them out and report in, smile.

Since I do not have access to any of my books while "over here", I can only mention that I read not ago an interesting book re the decline of Christianity within the West, but especially in mainstream Christianity.  The author contends that what he sees happening is that the Churches will decline even more, what will happen will be something like the Dark Ages (Christianity going into relative hiding in monasteries, home-schooling, churches that have more success will be traditional with all the trappings of the Orthodox Christians, etc.).

I regret that I cannot remember the author's name nor the book, it is new though.  As depressing in its way as the piece you quoted from.
